Jared Goodwin, Karl Mathis and Jason Mellor from Bowermans Commercial Furniture and Matthew Freney from Harvey Norman Commercial Joinery & Stone Division hosted a table in the Chairman’s Club at this prestigious race event with guests attending from GDK, CBRE, Taylor, MPA, Broadspectrum, Renascent, JLL, AMA Projects, Grace, Lendlease and Polytec. 

The Shorts is an Australian Turf Club Group 2 sprint race which was first held in 1867 and is run over a distance of 1100 metres which Bowermans have been proud sponsors of since 2012. 

Classique Legend with two time Everest winning jockey Kerrin McEvoy on board came charging home and convincingly won the race. Trainer Les Bridge labelled Classique Legend “the best horse I have ever trained”. 

A fantastic result for opening day of The Everest Carnival. Our guests enjoyed a great time with champagne and a sumptuous lunch whilst watching fantastic racing.
